Especially as this expression (most probably) originates from Isaac Newton.

But. The expression has become well known as a reference to say thanks to
people who helped you, either on purpose or by coincidence.
Mostly used in acknowledgements in scientific papers, however
I prefer another vision.

the ones who only wanted the best for you.
